1. Are your materials food-grade?
Absolutely! ✨ I do my best to use food-grade ingredients wherever possible — from the rice and pasta to the colours and even our Stardust Fizz 💫. While everything is non-toxic and made with food-grade ingredients, they’re not made for snacking/eating 😅. Any non-food-grade elements (like accessories) will always be clearly labelled on the packaging.
2. Do your products contain allergens?
Some of our sensory bases may contain wheat-based pasta or flour, so traces of gluten are possible. Dairy isn’t intentionally used, but cross-contamination can occur. All products are handmade at home with careful cleaning and glove use to reduce risks.
Our food-grade ingredients like food colouring, metallic edible paints, and edible glitter are allergen-free, gluten-free, vegan-friendly, halal-friendly, and kosher-certified. While not edible, these certifications offer extra peace of mind.
Please consider this if allergies are severe before purchasing.
3. What kind of packaging do you use?
We use eco-friendly, biodegradable packaging (doesn't leave microplastics) wherever possible to reduce environmental impact. Our sensory play products are packed in resealable, food-safe pouches that keep the contents fresh and secure. The packaging also features a clear window so you can see the vibrant colours inside. We are always looking for ways to improve our packaging to be more sustainable and user-friendly.
4. Is your packaging compostable, recyclable, or reusable?
We use sustainable packaging made with advanced biodegradable technology designed to break down more quickly and responsibly than traditional plastics. All our packaging is recyclable, reusable, and either compostable or biodegradable, reflecting our commitment to reducing environmental impact while keeping your sensory play products fresh and secure.
5. Do you use plastic in your packaging or products?
While I strive to be as plastic-free as possible, going 100% plastic-free isn’t feasible right now—especially when it comes to keeping products fresh and safe. However, I carefully choose eco-friendly plastics that minimise petroleum use and are biodegradable or compostable wherever possible. My goal is to balance sustainability with quality and safety for your little ones’ sensory play.
6. Why might my kit come in different packaging from others?
As we continuously improve our sustainability efforts and product quality, you may notice variations in packaging materials or designs. Sometimes we test new eco-friendly options or adjust sizes to better suit different sensory bases. Rest assured, all packaging is carefully chosen to keep your products fresh, safe, and environmentally responsible.
7. How do you ensure the safety and hygiene of your products?
I start by washing my hands thoroughly, then wipe down the workspace to keep everything clean. During production, I wear biodegradable gloves to ensure your sensory play materials are safe and fresh for your little ones.
